Tear the foil bag at the top of the oil spill kit where it says “Tear Here.” Identify the emergency spill kit components contained in the oil spill kit. Locate the protective emergency equipment provided and put it on immediately, no matter how much or how little the spill. Remember: safety first! Use the Sorb-Sox or Mini-Booms from the emergency oil spill kit to protect the water sources from the emergency leak or oil spill.  Surround the drain or dam and divert the spill away from any water source. Tamp the emergency spill kit Sorb-Sox to the surface they’re on to create a barrier or seal against any moving liquid. If no drain or water source is present, use the Sorb-Sox to surround or dam the spill and contain it.
