We call this the Andax Transformer Repair Pac™ but in reality, it is a "leaking, dripping, seeping, it's got a hole in it", leak repair kit. Working onsite you can repair a transformer that has a split seam, bullet hole or ripped out primary bushing because this repair kit has what you need to get the job done.
Sealed in a vacuum-packed foil package to protect the transformer leak contents, the Transformer Leak Repair Kit has everything you need in one convenient package to repair the source and provide quick and easy cleanup of small drips and leaks.
The Andax Transformer Leak Repair Kit is a cost-effective spill-control and containment kit that is very easy to access and/or store. The Transformer Leak Repair Kit is 14” in width by 20” in length by 2” deep. The Transformer Leak Repair Kit lets you take the spill-response materials right to the leaking transformer.
Open the Transformer Leak Repair Kit. Identify the components contained in the leak Repair Kit. Locate the protective gloves provided and put these on immediately, no matter how much or how little the spill. Remember: safety first! Place the ground cover mat under the transformer to prevent any contamination of the ground. Use the Sorbent Pads to soak up any excess oil. Then utilize the degreaser towels to clean the transformer surfaces and expose the cracks, holes or other leak sources. Keep one or two pads in reserve for personal cleanup afterwards- and keep track of the zip tie for later use. Carry out repairs to the transformer using the FastSteel® Epoxy Putty. Work the epoxy into the cracks and holes, filling them completely. As soon as the FastSteel® sets, smooth the repairs with the abrasive sanding pad. Repeat any or all steps of the process as necessary until you have repaired all the problem areas of the transformer.
